1. Introduction:
Asin Thottumkal is one of the most popular south actresses of present time. Recently, she has stepped inside the Bollywood and created a huge wave among the fans with her dazzling beauty and easy – natural acting. Asin made her silver screen debut in 2001 and experienced first success in 2003. She started her Bollywood career in 2008. Most of her career films are from south, but this hot and sexy star will surely go a long way in Bollywood.

(a) Birth:
Asin Thottumkal was born on October 26, 1985 in Kochi, Kerala, India. Asin was born to famous entrepreneur, Joseph Thottumkal and surgeon, Seline Thottumkal. She hails from a Syrian Christian family and got full help from her parents to get into acting career.
(b) Early Life:
Asin Thottumkal was brought up from Kerala. She did her schooling there. Asin start acting at a very young age of just 15. Though her first release was not successful, she came back strongly two years after her first release. Her academic life was severely hampered due to these early actings.
3. Career:
Asin Thottumkal started her career in the year 2001 at the age of only 15. Her first release was “Narendra Makan Jayakanthan Vaka” (2001) and it was not a successful one. Asin experienced her first successful release, in 2003 with the film “Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi”. After that she kept acting in several south Indian films. Most of them being hits, Asin is today the most prominent South-Indian actress.
Asin stepped inside Bollywood with the world wide super hit film “Ghajini” (2008) opposite Aamir Khan. It was the remake of her breakthrough Tamil film of the same name, which was released in 2005. Asin Thottumkal is one of the most popular actresses of current time with her extreme beauty and acting talent.
Asin is currently busy filming Vipul Shah’s London Dreams alongside Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan which is supposed to be released this year.

Asin Thottumkal is a very talented actress and she has been honored with several prestigious awards for that. She won the Filmfare Best Telugu Actress Award for her second career release, “Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi” (2003 – Telegu). She received Filmfare Best Tamil Actress Award for “Ghajini” (2005 – Tamil). But it was the remake of the Tamil film with the same name “Ghajini” which changed her entire career. She received all possible awards for her very first Hindi film, including Filmfare Best Hindi Debut Award, IIFA Best Debut Award, Star Screen Best Female Newcomer Award and Stardust Female Superstar of Tomorrow Award.
