Katrina Kaif, who has shared the screen with Salman Khan for almost two decades, recently discussed her experience working with the Bollywood star. From their first collaboration in the 2005 film “Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya” to their latest venture, “Tiger 3,” Katrina shared insights into Salman’s acting style and their on-screen chemistry.
Describing Salman Khan as “unpredictable” on set, Katrina revealed that he changes his approach with every take, keeping her on her toes. She explained, “He will change it every take. He will throw something else at you so you have to be fluid, and that’s how our chemistry is when we are on set together. I read him and he reads me, and we play off each other.”
Katrina emphasized the importance of chemistry in the writing for it to come alive on screen. Despite the unpredictable nature of Salman’s acting, their on-screen partnership thrives on understanding each other’s cues. She stated, “We have a really incredible friendship. He’s got a very generous heart. We have an incredible equation, very strong equation, and it’s one with a lot of respect and admiration, which is very important.”
Reflecting on Salman’s demeanor on set, Katrina shared that he doesn’t talk much and is often deep in thought about his scenes. “Salman will never show you what he’s always thinking,” she added.
Discussing their characters Zoya and Tiger in “Tiger 3,” Katrina highlighted the comfort and ease between them. She emphasized that the foundation of their on-screen relationship lies in the “equation of trust and respect.” Despite playing characters on opposing sides (Zoya as an ISI agent and Tiger as a RAW agent), their dynamic is built on mutual understanding.
Directed by Maneesh Sharma, “Tiger 3” also features Emraan Hashmi and includes a cameo by Shah Rukh Khan. The film showcases the enduring partnership between Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, with each project adding a new dimension to their on-screen collaboration.
