In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Tom Hiddleston, the actor renowned for his portrayal of Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, expressed his admiration for Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and suggested that Khan could play a variant of the mischievous character Loki.
When asked about his choice for the role, Hiddleston promptly responded, “Shah Rukh Khan. He would be great. He is a good variant, I think.”
Hiddleston also shared his memorable experience of watching Shah Rukh Khan’s film “Devdas” many years ago. Describing it as an extraordinary experience, he recalled going to his local cinema to see the film, stating, “I remember going to see Devdas. I mean, that’s quite an old film. I remember going to see that at my local cinema, and it was such an extraordinary [experience]. I would say I have never seen anything like that. So, yeah, I remember that very much.”
The suggestion of Shah Rukh Khan playing a variant of Loki has sparked excitement among fans, igniting discussions about the potential crossover between Hollywood and Bollywood.
In the interview, Hiddleston also touched upon his ongoing project, “Loki” Season 2, which recently concluded to positive reviews. The season explores the aftermath of the shocking season finale, with Loki embarking on a quest for truth and purpose in a multiverse fraught with danger.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan has been making waves in Bollywood with two blockbuster releases— “Pathaan,” which hit screens on Republic Day, and “Jawan,” released on September 7. He is set to appear in Raj Kumar Hirani’s “Dunki,” scheduled for release on December 22.
