Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made a strong family showing at the special screening of The Archies on Monday, putting to rest rumors of separation from husband Abhishek Bachchan. She posed proudly with her son Agastya Nanda, who makes his debut in the Netflix film directed by Zoya Akhtar.
The entire Bachchan family turned out to support Agastya on his big night. Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan and daughter Navya Naveli Nanda accompanied Aishwarya and Abhishek. Daughter Aaradhya was also spotted on the red carpet.
Aishwarya was seen enthusiastically praising an excited-looking Agastya as cameras snapped away. Father and son also shared a warm embrace:
Over the past few days, reports have swirled that Aishwarya and Abhishek were headed towards divorce. Some claimed the actress’ alleged rocky relations with the Bachchans fueled the split.
But Aishwarya’s joint family appearance seems to negate any truth to those rumors. She posed affectionately with Abhishek before heading into the screening together:
One social media user wrote, “Media will now find peace…There is no plan for Abhishek and Aishwarya to separate.” Another fan commented, “News outlets spread all kinds of baseless rumors…”
Indeed, the Bachchans looked every bit the regal, unified family supporting Agastya on his big debut. The Archies also marks the film entry of other Bollywood star kids including Suhana Khan and Khushi Kapoor.
With divorce speculation swirling just days ago, Aishwarya’s joint Bachchan family appearance dispels those splitsville rumors. The clan is clearly still close-knit, coming together to celebrate Agastya’s major career milestone.
